A Walsh Care Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 12th September 2026
1. Who I am
A Walsh Care is an independent support service based in Bermagui, New South Wales, operated by Amanda Walsh, ABN:23661518715. This policy explains how I collect, use and look after your personal information, in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
I have written this policy in plain English, because you deserve to understand it.
2. What I collect
Through the enquiry form on this website:
your name, phone number and email address
whether you are enquiring for yourself or for someone else
your town or area
the kind of support you are looking for
anything you choose to tell me in your own words
your consent to receive emails from me about your enquiry
If you tell me about health or care needs. Because of the work I do, an enquiry may include information about someone's health, disability or care needs. That is sensitive information and I treat it with extra care. You decide how much to tell me, and you only need to give me enough to understand whether I can help. There is no need to send detailed medical history through this form, and I will ask for anything further when we speak.
If you are enquiring for someone else. Many people contact me about a parent, partner or family member. Please do so only with their knowledge, or where you have proper authority to act for them. I treat information about that person the same way I treat information about you, and if we go on to work together I will speak with them directly wherever I can.
If we go on to work together, I will collect further information directly from you during our consultation and planning, including health and care information where it is needed to support you safely. That information is collected with your consent, used only to provide your support, and is not collected through this website.
I do not collect payment details through this website.
3. How I use your information
to respond to your enquiry and talk with you about what would help
to arrange and provide your support
to send you emails about your enquiry, where you have agreed to that
to keep basic business records, including invoicing
to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use this website so I can improve it
I do not sell your information. I do not use it for advertising. I do not send marketing emails.
4. Website analytics
This website uses PostHog to understand how visitors use it, for example which sections are read and which buttons are clicked. This data is aggregated.
I do not record individual visitor screen sessions. Session recording is switched off. I cannot watch a replay of your visit, and I do not want to.
5. Who handles your information
I use a small number of trusted service providers to run this website and respond to enquiries:
Tally — the enquiry form
Airtable — secure storage of enquiries
Brevo — sending the emails you have agreed to receive
PostHog — aggregated website analytics
Proton — my business email
My website and the systems behind it are built and managed on my behalf by Content GlowUp, an Australian service provider, which handles enquiry information only as needed to operate these systems for me. Content GlowUp does not use your information for its own purposes and does not contact you about its own services.
Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. I take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled appropriately wherever it is processed.
6. How long I keep it
I keep enquiry information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you and keep proper business records. If you ask me to delete your enquiry information, I will, unless I am required to keep it by law.
7. Your rights
You can ask me at any time:
what information I hold about you
to correct it
to delete it
Just ask, by email, by phone, or in person. There is no form and no process.
8. Security
Your information is stored in reputable, access-controlled systems, and access is limited to me and the service provider that manages my systems. No method of storage is perfectly secure, but I take reasonable steps to protect your information and I hold only what I need.
9. If something goes wrong
If I become aware that your information has been accessed by someone who should not have it, or has been lost, I will act quickly to contain it and work out what has happened.
If there is a real risk that it could cause you harm, I will tell you, and I will tell the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, as the law requires. I would rather tell you early than have you find out some other way.
10. Complaints
If you have a concern about how I have handled your personal information, please tell me first. I will do my best to put it right. If you are not satisfied with my response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.
11. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
